Lathe turned Hawaiian calabash Koa wood bowls are made in our Uka wood shop here in Hawaii. Bowls are sanded down to 0000 steel wool and finished with mineral oil. Bowls are signed by the artist C. Souza. Koa is a rare highly prized hardwood which grows on the slopes of Mauna Kea mountain on the Big Island of Hawaii. In Hawaiian culture Koa wood items were presented to Royalty and Dignitaries as gifts.

MILO

Lathe turned Hawaiian calabash Milo bowls are made in our Uka wood shop here in Hawaii. Bowls are sanded down to 0000 steel wool and finished with mineral oil. Bowls are signed by the artist C. Souza. Milo is a native hardwood grown here in Hawaii. Traditional Milo calabash bowls are shaped to highlight the contrast between the cream colored sap wood and the dark heart wood.

Milo is a native hardwood used in making traditional calabash bowls. The white sap wood is used to contrast the dark heart wood. Bowl is signed by the artist. Bowl is 6" w x 4.75" h.

Norfolk Pine wood, Hawaiian calabash shaped, bowls are turned end grain to show the red colored branch knots around the circumference of the bowl. Bowl has a natural mineral oil finish. Bowl has a smooth flowing curved profile. Bowls are shipped via USPS priority mail.
